Broom Village Hall
Broom's new village hall was built in 2006. The large room provides seating space for 60 people, whilst the meeting room is also ideal for presentations, seating up to 12 people.
The hall is entered via a foyer, which has good disabled access, and leads direct to the spacious main hall and then through to the meeting room via a corridor.
The floor of the main hall is semi-sprung, which makes it suitable for dancing and sports events. There is a hearing loop fitted to both the main hall and the meeting room and internet access is available. Both rooms have heating and furniture is available for each.
There is a well-planned kitchen which can easily cope with larger functions. Car parking space is available both on and off site.
The hall operates a no-smoking policy.
The Opening Ceremony
On Saturday 23 September 2006 Broom Village Hall had its opening ceremony.
The first picture shows the opening ceremony, including the raising of the flag. In the second picture you can see committee member and main force behind the fundraising, Cheryl Hendey.
