Broom Women's Institute meets on the first Thursday of the month at the Village Hall at 7.30pm.
We are a small group that enjoys various events arranged for the whole year. In the past we have had interesting and original speakers who have entertained and made our evenings enjoyable.
The WI opens up many opportunities to visit different venues within the Warwickshire Federation. In 2014, some members have attended Serious Science Lectures and also a Literary Lunch. Others enjoyed a day trip to learn more about 'Legal London' and later in the year a seasonal coach tour, 'Cotswold Christmas' gave an opportunity to see this lovely part of the country together with sessions of retail therapy in Burford, Cirencester and Cheltenham Spa. Two of our ladies attended a special weekend for Warwickshire WI members held at Denman College in Oxfordshire.
We also arrange evenings out to the theatre, meals and meeting other groups within Warwickshire for quizzes and other social activities etc. So, as you can see we have a very mixed variety of events which could suit many different people.
2015 is the centenary of the formation of the WI. There will be nationwide events held to celebrate this landmark birthday of the Organisation.
Brenda our President or Helen our Secretary would be only too pleased to answer any queries you may have. We would be delighted to hear from you.
This friendly group always concludes our meetings socially with refreshments, so we can get to know one another and expanding our friendships.
Meetings held at Broom Village Hall commencing at 7.30pm. Visitors always welcome. Delicious refreshments always served. Come and spend an evening with us.
