Barrow Boys to Bankers: Bidford on Avon WI are putting on a coach trip to London. Contrasting stories of rags and riches in London districts, a stone’s throw from each other but worlds apart. In the morning a walking tour of the atmospheric streets and alleys of Spitalfields and Whitechapel, in the afternoon the story of banking in the Square Mile with a coach tour and a visit to the Bank of England Museum.

£37 per person, fully inclusive.

COACH TRIP TO HIGHCLERE CASTLE (DOWNTON ABBEY)

Bidford and District History Society are running a coach trip to Highclere Castle - better known as Downton Abbey! We would love you to join us as there are eight spaces left on our coach.

Highclere is not only famed as Downton Abbey but was the home of Lord Caernarvon who sponsored the discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun and there is an exhibition on the excavation. This, together with large and beautiful grounds will make it an interesting visit.

We depart at 10.00am from the Crawford Hall, stopping en route for a break. Arrive at 1.00pm. Arrive back in Bidford between 7.00 and 7.30pm.

Cost: £26.00 (includes coach, entrance to castle, exhibition and grounds)
