CLASSIC WINGS AND WHEELS EVENT

Bidford Airfield.

Bidford Airfield is a delightful grass strip in the shadow of the Cotswolds and is home to the Bidford Gliding and Flying Club. This year on the 27th May Bank Holiday Monday, the club is holding a Classic Wings and Wheels event in support of Acorns Childrens Hospice.

There will be a dedicated area of the Airfield for Classic Cars and a similar fenced off area for visiting and resident aircraft. Already a number of car clubs have expressed interest, together with owners of some interesting aeroplanes.

At lunchtime the air park will be opened to the public so that people can have a close look at the planes and chat to the pilots. There will be a Bouncy Castle for children and a barbecue in the evening. Raffle prizes will include trial lessons in a motor glider and a sailplane.
